Motor Protector Function _ Motor Comprehensive Protection Connection Method _ How to Adjust Motor Protector
Description:
The motor protector adopts microcomputer technology and high-performance integrated chips, with powerful functions and excellent performance. High testing accuracy, good linearity, high resolution, strong anti-interference ability of the whole machine, and reliable protection operation. The three-phase current value, voltage value, and various fault numbers are displayed on the light-emitting diode and LCD display, which is intuitive and clear. Good stability, no maintenance required for long-term work.
Motor protector function:
The function of a motor protector is to protect the motor. When the motor experiences overcurrent, undercurrent, phase failure, locked rotor, short circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage, leakage, three-phase imbalance, overheating, bearing wear, stator and rotor eccentricity, etc., it will alarm or protect the motor.
Connection method and principle of motor comprehensive protector:
The motor protection device consists of three-phase current transformers, detection, amplification, delay, regulation circuits, and execution relays. When the detection circuit detects that the current induced by the current transformer is out of phase or greater than the set value, the relay is amplified by an amplifier. The power circuit of the relay contacts and contactor coils is connected in series. After the relay operates, the contactor loses power, which protects the motor. Delay circuit is used to avoid motor starting current, and the time is adjustable. The regulating circuit is used to accurately set the operating current based on the working current of the protected motor.
How to adjust the motor protector?
There are two potentiometers, one for adjusting current and the other for adjusting action time. Extend the time first, then start the motor and adjust the current until the overload indicator does not light up, and then adjust the time to the value you want to adjust.
Steps:
1. Overcurrent protection setting method: Turn the toggle switch on the panel to the set position, adjust the current and potential, so that the current display shows the rated current value of the motor, and then turn the switch to the running position. At this time, the number on the display is the working current of the motor.
2. Start delay setting method: The full pressure start can be adjusted to a smaller value. In short, the startup delay time should be adjusted according to the needs of the user's device.
3. Reset method: After the motor trips due to a fault, the fault indicator light will light up and the protection device will be in a memory state. It can only be restored after pressing the panel reset button.
