There are many types of relays in the market, such as voltage relay, time relay, solid relay, etc. What are their different wiring methods?
Please refer to the following wiring methods .
3-pin relay wiring.
The common 3-pin relay is the car horn relay.
No. 1 is the contact terminal to connect the load;
No. 2 is the common terminal of contact and coil, which is connected with power;
No. 3 is the coil terminal, which is connected to the button switch (such as the horn button on the steering wheel).
Press the button switch, 2 and 3 are connected, the coil is energized, the contact is closed, 1 and 2 are connected, and the horn sounds.
4-pin relay wiring.
The 4-pin relay is the most common single pole single throw relay.
Pin 1 and pin 2 are the coil terminal, pin 3 and pin 4 are the contact terminal.
1 and 2 are connected, the coil is energized, the internal mechanical transmission is carried out, 3 and 4 contacts are closed (normally closed type is disconnected), and the load circuit is connected for operation.
5 pin relay wiring.
The 5-pin relay is a common single pole double throw relay.
1 and 2 are coil terminal, 3 is common contact, 4 and 5 are normally open and closed contacts.
In initial state, 3 and 5 contacts are connected and load 5 is working; After the coil power is supplied, 1 and 2 are connected, the coil is energized, 3 common contacts are switched to close with 4 normally open contacts, and load 4 starts to work.
6-pin relay wiring.
The principle of a conventional 6-pin relay is not different from that of a 5-pin relay, except that a common terminal is added. Terminals 1 and 6 are connected together as common terminals.
8-pin relay wiring.
The internal circuit of the conventional 8-pin relay is shown in the figure. 2 and 7 are coil terminals, and the other terminals form two groups of SPDT structures. The connection method of each group is the same as that of the 5-pin relay.
When the coil is powered on or off, it controls the switching of two groups of SPDT switches at the same time.
Conclusion: No matter how many pins the relay has, in the final analysis, it is nothing more than two basic types and combinations of single pole single throw and single pole double throw. Knowing the internal wiring diagram, the external wiring is very simple.
